Well, I think you were still potential lion prey, just that the likelihood was reduced 🙂 Animals can yawn for various reasons, not all to do with sleepiness, but as a method of releasing tension.

Thank you. Personally, I think that lioness was just trying to fool all the other animals, yawning as if eating was the last thing on her mind. Our guide did say that the car wasn’t much of a barrier to a lion, if they really wanted to, they could easily break the glass window. I’m surprised more humans don’t get eaten every year.
