Two years ago we visited Bolivia on a short three week holiday. We did most of the usual things people do in Bolivia: gasp for air in La Paz on arrival; spend a few days marvelling at the beauty of Isla del Sol and Lago Titicaca; the South-West tour (although a fairly upmarket one staying in Takaya Hotels); a brief visit to Potosi, but not it’s mines; and ended by spending a few days in Sucre during Fiesta.
This glimpse was enough to convince that we should come back and explore this incredible country in much more depth. On the way learning Spanish and doing some voluntary work for local NGOs.
For the next year Sucre will be home and this blog (my first and possible only attempt to become a published author) will chart it.
